I have a need to calculate some fields on the form, and I need a Javascript onload trigger to do what I need to. Does anyone know how to create that trigger in the Maintain Development Environment?

Here is the syntax on an OnLoad.JS file:

var OriginalOnload = document.body.onload;
document.body.onload = LoadFunct; //assign your custom onload

function LoadFunct() {
if (OriginalOnload) OriginalOnload (); //first run the OriginalOnload
// Custom onload code can now follow

}

Create this as an external JS file. Name it anything you want. Then embed it on to the form. Every time the form refreshes, this case is performed. Place any javascript commands that you need. Let me know.

Nailed it.

Next time I'm in New York I'm bringing you a beer.

For those stumbling onto this, here's an example of my solution. I included this at the top of an existing javascript file that is embedded into the Maintain form.

// Build an onload trigger for the document:
var OriginalOnload = document.body.onload;
document.body.onload = LoadFunct;
function LoadFunct() {
if (OriginalOnload) OriginalOnload (); //first run the OriginalOnload
CalculateColumnTotals();
CalculateColumnColors();
}
