Hello,

I am trying to create a Maintain application in Dev Studio (WF 7.7.03) using the Update Assist tool.. I started by creating a new project under "Projects on localhost" in the Maintain development area..

The Update Assist tool seems to simplify the process of creating a Maintain application and hence I am using that route.. I am fairly new to WebFocus and Maintain is a whole new concept for me .. I am still trying to grasp WebFocus reporting so it isn't easy to develop maintain apps by myself, which is why I am inclined towards using Update Assist..

I managed to create a project with Update assist after following instructions from the manual, but when I try to run it, I get this error:
(FOC1488) SQL INTERFACE HAS NOT BEEN INSTALLED OR COULD NOT BE INITIALIZED
Subphysical interface not installed for SUFFIX=SQLORA.
Module name: ORAPAS2

Does anyone know what's missing? Thanks!

You've created a project on localhost, which is on your PC, not on the reporting server. Did you set up an Oracle connection on your PC?

Please make sure you have read write access to the file, as Francis suggests. Then check the access file and make sure you have keys=n, where n is an integer greater than 0. If you don't have the keys statement you will have to recreate the code.
