We are planning to move our webfocus installation on to a virtual machine, any one aware if there are any licensing restrictions/other issues with this?

Regards.

I do not think it would be an issue, but you need to check with your IBI account-rep about your specific licencing structure.

Techinically speaking, it should not be a problem. We migrated the WF client piece to VM early this year and have had no issues operating it with a z/OS EDA server in the backend.

So long as you don't deploy more virtual machines (and therefore more WebFocus instances) than you have licenses for.
