Is there any way to make an HTML file read only in WebFocus 8.0.0.6?

We have a standard template we use for our html forms. We would like to lock this down so that only a select group of two or three users can update it the rest can only read in the file to their new HTML form.

Hi cah250,

There is security that can be set up that may accomplish what you are trying to do - with users, roles and privileges.

Please refer to the security manual on the TechSupport site .

Click on Publications at the top > Technical Content Library > WebFOCUS 8 Technical Library (select your version of WebFOCUS in the bottom panel.

Expand the "+" to access all the documents. Select WebFOCUS Security and Administration.

You can enter "Read Only" into the search within the PDF doc.

Create a user group with the 3 or 4 super users who can edit. Set rules on the particular HTML file and give edit access on the super user group.

Right Click -> Security -> Access Rules -> Set IT !!

Thanks,

Ramkumar.

Are you trying to lock the form down to read only or the HTML to read only so someone cant change the code?
