With WebFOCUS 7705M, we pulled report usage from SM* tables. We are upgraded to 8105M as of later this week. If resource Analyzer is activated (which it is) where is this information stored in the repository? What would be the table names? I pull information such as the fex name, run date and time, user who ran the report, output line count.

Thank you,
Geri Gellman

Hi Geri

The tables still begin with SM but they are separate tables from the repository. Check with your administrator to find out how to access them. The standard reports are still accessable from the Reporting Server Console under the Resource Management tab.

Hope that helps,

Thank you for using Focal Point!

I am the only administrator. I will run an existing report that accesses these tables to confirm they are still active.

Thanks!

Hello,

The files I accessed were smsessions_7706 and the like all beginning with sm and ending with _7706. When I query the repository it does not find any files that begin with sm. Also, since this is a different version anything that ends with 7706 would no longer be correct I would assume.

Hi Geri

The SM tables ending in 7706 is correct. 7706 and 8105 are synonymous with each other. Try using master file rmldb. The master file is located in the \ibi\srv81\wfs\catalog\rm directory. It is a cluster joining all the sm tables together for reporting.

Regards,

When I used rmldb in the past, I find it is missing lines of information where reports ran. It is missing reports that actually ran.

I am not successful in finding tables SM*8105.

Thank you,

Per my recent thread, we are just starting to look at Resource Analyzer here.

You mention this is a new install for you. I know during the install/configuration the process asks if you want the data stored in a FOCUS or relational database.

If you are not seeing the tables in your relational database, any chance at install time FOCUS database was selected?

Our Resource Analyzer was set to store to the FOCUS database rather than the relational database. We deleted the Resource Analyzer and then reconfigured it to the relational database.
