Is your problem in identifying which is the active tab, or in applying styling?

You'll have to custom-code an event handler to accomplish this. Usa a global variable (or a hidden text control) to hold the ID of the currently-selected tab. All tabs' onclicks can call a common fn, passing it the respective tab's ID (or infer it from "this"). The onclick event handler would adjust (reset) the previously selected tab's appearance, record the new selection, and adjust its appearance.
