Recently we started getting "WebFOCUS was called with an invalid request" error message with Managed Reporting. The error is ocurring when we log in to managed reporting and stay logged in with no activity for a period of time. We then go back to the managed reporting page and it is frozen.. we try to navigate and then get the error message... Does anyone know what might be causing this??

Maybe a time out has occurred?
Agreed, if so, then it should present the user with a nicer message.
I'd check the security and admin manual to see if there is something like a time out on MRE and if there is how to increase it.

MR timeout is controlled by the expiration set for the cookies (See WF Admin Manual section on WF_COOKIE_EXPIRATION ).

However, a WFServlet trace is going to log everything about the request. As a result if you can capture a WFServlet trace of when this problem occurs it will give you all the information you need to see what is going on.

If you need help reading a WFServlet trace, please open up a case with Techsupport.

Thanks,
Doug Logan
