Hi all,
I am really stumped. We are running 7.7.05 and everything has been working fine. Suddenly on Tuesday users starting having to log in over and over. They would log in on our login page, move to the reports tab and try and run a report. Usually the first one would run, but after 20 seconds or so it would pop up the message

Maintain-Valid credentials are required for server: EDASERVE

and require them to log in. If you do this, it accepts your credentials and you can work for another 30 seconds, then it does it again.

The log file shows:
06/15/2016 14:25:08.784 E LDAP Error: (Server Down)
06/15/2016 14:25:08.784 E conn.error cmrpip000011 u=jjacques (conn failure)

But the AD server isn't down. It responds to authentication requests. We went to the AD server and there aren't any failures, but there are multiple requests for logins. We increased the MAXPOOLTHREADS from 4 to 8, but nothing changed.

Any ideas??? I have a case open but it's not getting solved.

This is weird.

Is your AD authentication done by the reporting server ?

Can you test the connection on the server ?

Also, I have seen weird messages when there is low disk space available.

The proxy ID you've been using to connect between the WF Client and the WF Reporting Server has been lost, invalidated, or had some of its credentials revoked. Go into your WF Client Console and check the ID it uses to connect, and then test that ID on the Reporting Server platform.

Update -- Scratch that. If your LDAP server is down that's your problem. Your connection ID is not being validated, so the Reporting Server is asking for new credentials. Fix your LDAP server.
