[SOLVED] Noob trying to hold files somewhere else than tmpdir
Hi
I have this table I would like to hold as pdf but I would like for them to be placed somewhere else that tmpdir
I have tried this:
set &&pdfdir 'k:\pdfs\'
...
hold as &&pdfdir thistable format pdf
but of course that doesn't work
Any that can tell me how to do this?

Several ways, for example:
HOLD AS &&PDFDIR|thistable FORMAT PDF
APP HOLD &&PDFDIR
FILEDEF THISTABLE FILE &PDFDIR|THISTABLE
HOLD AS THISTABLE FORMAT PDF

WebFOCUS 4.3.5? Seriously? That must have been released when the Romans were still in charge...

Gosh! We are up to 7705 now - end even thinking about WF8*. But up until about 4 years ago it was PC FOCUS version 6 ... I still rely on those PC FOCUS manuals when I need a refresher on MODIFY or some user-written subroutine ...
I still keep these fairly close as they prove sooo useful well the last one at least - the first 2 are consigned to the museum

Also just remembered this, original DN40021.0686 - 29 years old this month -
Has examples of how a UWS of MTHNAM could be written in FORTRAN, COBOL, PL/1 and Assembler and references Release 4.0.14.
Wonder what I'd be able to get for it on Ebay?

While not 29 years old, I still have the Nov 1998 Systems Journal where Art and Noreen introduced the MacGyver technique. I still use it in the training of programmers new to the FOCUS language.
In FOCUS since 1985. Prod WF 8.0.08 (z90/Suse Linux) DB (Oracle 11g), Self Serv, Report Caster, WebServer Intel/Linux.

Downsizing here: I just pitched my copy of the FOCMAN manual, some printer layout charts, and a couple of 5081 cards.
