I have tried all types of settings to try to elimate report from being pushed down about 1 inch when printing PDF in Legal Landscape. (Prints fine if I set to Letter or Portrait but I need Legal Landscape). Report looks fine on monitor but when it prints it has to much white space on top.

I want report to print as high to top off page as possible!

Here is some code:

SET PRINTPLUS = ON
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
COUNTRY
CAR
MODEL
BODYTYPE
SEATS
DEALER_COST
RETAIL_COST
SALES
LENGTH
WIDTH
HEIGHT
WEIGHT
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT PDF
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
UNITS=IN,
PAGESIZE='Legal',
TOPMARGIN=0.000000,
BOTTOMMARGIN=0.000000,
SQUEEZE=ON,
ORIENTATION=LANDSCAPE,
$
TYPE=REPORT,
GRID=OFF,
FONT='TIMES NEW ROMAN',
SIZE=10,
TOPGAP=0.000000,
BOTTOMGAP=0.000000,
$
ENDSTYLE
END

ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOPAGE
gets the report a little closer to the top, but I don't think you can completely eliminate the page margins.

Francis - thanks

Yes that helped a wee bit - thanks!

So instead of 1 1/4 inch of white space on top - I have 1".

Does anyone have a way to get me all the way to the top? I won't be happy until I get to 1/2 inch on top

The code I suggested positions the report at the very top of the page.

most printers have a minimum non-printing margin. The HP laser printer I tested with ignores the first half inch around the paper, therefore the column titles were cut off when I printed the example.

I created a Word Doc and saved it as pDF (top margin = 0) and it had a 1/2 inch top white space - so perhaps that is the minimum I can get.

I tried the PAGE NOLEAD - no change.

Thanks for your help - if I get no more responses I will live with the 1" space on top

I've noticed that in the compound layout tool, that you can move the whole report around the page, and may be able to get it closer to the top.

Just what out for the print margins, you may get bits of the report not printing because its outside the printable area.

Also a small trap I had here, was that the prind option with PDF has a option called Page Scaling, check to see if its set to None, and then print.

Also be sure to check your printer preferences - it may be more of a driver/hardware issue as opposed to a WF thingy.
