1. My report is a workbook with 4 worksheets. Can I get report caster to apply the bursting criteria to only a "BY" value on the first worksheet?

2. Report Caster seems to have a character limit on the email message body. Is there any way to increase this limit, or pass text from the query into the email body?

1) Is this 4 worksheet report created by one fex?
If you run the report with the first BY field and use that field also in a WHERE statement, does the report give you the result you want?

If so, I think it will work. Give it a try on the CAR dataset.

2) I never encountered the limitation in the message body. There are subject limitations.

All four worksheets are coming out of one standard report.

I definately run into a character limit with the Reports Caster Email Message Field.

To get around the RC Email message limit, I will use a 2nd task to generate an html report with the full message. The body of the email message will ask the user to view the html file. For example, task 1 will generate the message and task 2 will generate the requested report.


In FOCUS since 1985. Prod WF 8.0.08 (z90/Suse Linux) DB (Oracle 11g), Self Serv, Report Caster, WebServer Intel/Linux.
