Hi all - looking to see if someone has a technique that can read data in a report/hold file and end the fex before completing based on a value in the data. Example: if CUST_CNTR LT 10, then end the fex. Otherwise finish running the fex/report.

Try setting &COUNTRY to ENGLAND or FRANCE to see the difference...
-DEFAULT &COUNTRY = 'ENGLAND';
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES
WHERE COUNTRY EQ '&COUNTRY'
ON TABLE HOLD AS HSALES
END
-RUN
-READFILE HSALES
-IF &SALES LE 100 GOTO END_FEX;
-TYPE SALES ARE GREATER THAN 100 SO I CONTINUE
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT *
WHERE COUNTRY EQ '&COUNTRY'
END
-RUN
-GOTO EXIT_FEX
-END_FEX
-TYPE SALES ARE LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 100 SO I END
-EXIT_FEX

Thanks Francis. Getting an autoprompt for "Sales" and COUNTRY. Must have something wrong in my global setttings.

I don't use prompting. Change the -DEFAULT to -SET.

ok, did that. But why is it still prompting me for "SALES". Assuming within the IF...GOTO
Sorry, my DM skills are pretty poor. Hoping to get better.

&SALES gets created by the -READFILE HSALES command - -READFILE automatically creates variables for all columns in the HOLD file. Perhaps this does not play well with AUTOPROMPT. If you're running this in Managed Reporting, right-click on the report and uncheck Prompt for Parameters.
