HEADING
"Column1<+0>Column2<+0>Column3"
" <+0>Column4<+0> <+0>Column5"

I have the above header columns in the code, but when i am giving the GRID=ON in the style sheet, i couldn't able to see the GRID in the excel sheet.

What could be the problem? Can any one suggest me the way to get the GRID for the above code.

Trying using border. When using background colors etc, it loses the grid lines.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Vinay, from our technicals: The Summary of New Features for 7.6.9 shows that the use of BORDERS with EXL2K started in WebFOCUS 7.6.9.

Page 198.

Text from document:

Excel (EXL2K Format) Style Enhancements
The StyleSheet options ORIENTATION=LANDSCAPE and BORDER=ON are now supported for
EXL2K report output.
The BORDER attribute supports the same options as currently available for FORMAT PDF
except for border options available in Adobe PDF but not available in Microsoft Excel:
Border line width. Excel 2003 does not have an option for specifying a number to
precisely set the border line width (thickness) in points.
Borders with grooves and ridges. Excel 2003 does not have an option for specifying
grooved or ridged borders.
Note:
FORMAT EXL2K does not support the GRID=ON parameter.
See the WebFOCUS Release Notes for information on known border functionality issues.

Cheers,

Kerry

I opened a case on this subject recently.

The feature to enable BORDERS with EXL2K is present but inactive in earlier releases (at least back to 7.1.6). It is activated by adding

SET SSDEBUG=256

to your fex. Try it.
