Can we not name COMT PCHOLD files anymore in WebFOCUS 8? Consider the following code:
-SET &OUTPUTFILE='CAR_DCOST_RCOST_REPORT_' | &YYMD;
-* CAR_DCOST_RCOST_REPORT_20140929
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM DCOST RCOST
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE PCHOLD AS '&OUTPUTFILE' FORMAT COMT
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
END
I was able to create "CAR_DCOST_RCOST_REPORT_20140929.csv", from the above code, in WebFOCUS 7. But not in WebFOCUS 8?

Hi Doug,
Go to Admin Console, Redirection Settings and make sure you have Save Report set to Yes for the extension...

Tom,
I can save the report just fine. The issue is the default name provided in the "ON TABLE PCHOLD AS '&OUTPUTFILE' FORMAT COMT" statement.
It comes up as "WFServlet.csv" not the value of &OUTPUTFILE.
Even when I hardcode it as : "ON TABLE PCHOLD AS CAR_DCOST_RCOST_REPORT_20140929 FORMAT COMT"

I've 8.0.07 which works fine after setting "Save Report" to yes for .csv extension.

Hi Doug,
Yes, you are correct. Works with XLS, COMT is not even a selection on the Redirection screen.
On 8.0.07, so, just another IBI oversight, I guess...
Even tried with a APP FI and EDAGET, stores it OK, but opens with an IBI generated name...

Doug,

Redirection settings for CSV in Admin Console. Change the "Save Report" option to yes - default is no.

Thanks Tony, Would that allow the naming of a pchold file with the comt format?

Admin is not an option for me (here)... Bummer... But, I'll check with the admins about it...

Hi Doug,

Works with your sample code from above. Might be a change of default setting between 7 and 8? - can't check for you as I don't have both at present, sorry.

I think that I'll open a case on this. I needed to do a work-around for this.
