How do I define the width of these heading items in EXL07 format. ?
I can do that in EXL2k with WRAP but is there a way to do this in EXL07 as below?
DEFINE FILE CAR DUMMY/A2 = ''; END TABLE FILE CAR PRINT DUMMY NOPRINT BY CAR.CAR.COUNTRY NOPRINT BY CAR.CAR.CAR NOPRINT BY CAR.CAR.MODEL NOPRINT BY CAR.CAR.BODYTYPE NOPRINT ON CAR.CAR.COUNTRY SUBHEAD "<COUNTRY<+0><CAR<+0><MODEL<+0><BODYTYPE<+0><+0><SEATS<+0><DEALER_COST<+0><RETAIL_COST" HEADING "Testing country long name long name long name long name<+0>Testing Column car<+0>Testing Column model<+0>Body Type<+0>Seats<+0>Dealer Cost<+0>Retail Cost " ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM NOLEAD ON TABLE SET ASNAMES ON ON TABLE NOTOTAL ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL07 ON TABLE SET XLSXPAGESETS ON ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON ON TABLE SET STYLE * $ TYPE=REPORT, HEADALIGN=BODY, $ TYPE=HEADING, LINE=1, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=1, JUSTIFY=LEFT, WIDTH=3.472, $ TYPE=HEADING, LINE=1, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=2, JUSTIFY=LEFT, WIDTH=3.472, $ TYPE=HEADING, LINE=1, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=3, JUSTIFY=LEFT, WIDTH=3.472, $ ENDSTYLE ENDThis message has been edited. This is what I read in the help file for EXL07
Within each generated worksheet, the columns in the report are automatically sized to fit the largest value in the column. WebFOCUS calculates the width of each data column based on the font and size requirement of all cells in that column using font metrics developed for other styled formats, including PDF and DHTML. Calculations are based on the data and title elements of the report. Heading and footing elements are not used in the sizing calculation and will be sized based on the data column requirements.
So looks like if you want to increase the column width you have to do it on data rather than the header.
In Focus since 2006
