[CASE-OPENED] Disaster Recovery WF8 environment
We need to set up a WF8 disaster recovery environment that can operate independently from our WF8 production. Since we are in South Florida and close to the beach, hurricanes, flooding, etc. are a concern for us. My question is how can we replicate our WF8 production environment and keep it in sync? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi PatFAU,

Welcome to Focal Point!

A colleague has reviewed this topic. If you can provide us with specific Disaster Recovery requirements, then we can get a more specific answer for you.

Thanks and regards,

Kathryn

Hi Kathryn,

Our WebFOCUS 8 Web/Application, Client and Reporting servers run on one Linux server and the Oracle database repository on another. We need the disaster recovery environment to be a complete duplication of production and updated on a daily basis. Please let me know if you need any further explanation.

Thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat,

Thank you for the explanation. I realize that this information is in your case, but I'm also presenting it here for others.

Disaster Recovery can be very involved as it is not just WebFOCUS that needs to be considered. Any related items such as infrastructure and synchronizing the databases are outside the scope of WebFOCUS.

We do offer solutions such as Information Builders Cloud Hosting Services.

Cheers!

Kathryn
