Try adding this to your site.wfs (\ibi\client52\wfc\etc):

<SET>IBIMR_user(PASS)

You should now be able to access &IBIMR_user from within your fex.

WORKS! thanks Kyle. I had already added that, but PASS was in lower case. no small wonder!

This sounds like what I'm attempting to do with little to no luck.... I have the following in my SITE.WFS :

<SENDVAR>
MRU=&IBIMR_USER
MRP=&IBIMR_PASS
<ENDSENDVAR>

I would like this id and password to pass to a fex called DBADEPT:

SQL SQLODBC SET USER DBADEPT/&MRU,&MRP
SQL SQLODBC SET ERRORTYPE DBMS

and in my reports I do:
-INCLUDE DBADEPT.FEX

The goal is to pass the user id and password that is logging into the MRE to the server so that DB2 access validates that a user has access to the table.

We are on 4.3.6 and I'd appreciate any insight anyone can offer.....

Thanks

the parameters are case sensitive. for the record, they are:

IBIMR_user - Managed reporting user name

IBIMR_pass - Encrypted password (hope you're using HTTPS, otherwise you're send this as cleartext!)

IBIMR_domain - Managed reporting domain

Hope this helps, amigo!
