I can't get a search on Focal Point Forum to actually look for what I'm asking for.

It turns "No HTML Output!" to "html" or "html output".

I'm trying to look for "Get Data" and only those two words together, and it looks for get or data. That's not what I want.

Am I missing some syntax to get the search tool to give me what I want?

Hi Joan,

When you click on FIND, click on Advanced Search, then you can do the EXACT PHRASE.

Also, gives you the options of where to search...Tom

Hi Joan,

Are you still having difficulties in the Search functions? Have you tried the Advanced Search? When you click on Find on the bar, one of the options in the drop down list is "Advanced Search". Click on that link, and you should be able to run more sophisticated searches, e.g. "with all of the words" (like "AND"), "with the exact phrase", etc. Smiler

Many thanks to Tom's input as well.

Cheers,

Kerry

Happened back to look at this...

Try it yourself.
Go to "Advanced Search".
Type GET DATA in the Exact Match input box.
Perform the search.
Open the first result and do a browser search for GET DATA.
It isn't there.

But "get the data" is there, so it looks like the "the" is ignored when doing an exact match.

Maybe we can help you, what is it that you're looking for?

Cheers,

Francis

Joan,

Try bounding your search phrase with double quotes as per most other search engines.

When I do just that, this post is listed second after TECHNIQUE: How to get data from a particular filler field
