I have a list box that I populate with customer numbers. I DO NOT want to populate it using the dynamic function because there would be to many values. My problem is I do want to process against all customers sometimes and I was trying to do that by putting in a customer number of zeros and then comparing to the customer number data field. This DOES work with the code I inserted but if I enter other customers in the list box and try to select more than ONE customer number it does not work but if I take the code out that i put in for selecting all customers this selection of more than one customer does work. I think it is something with the second line of code below but I can not figure it out.

(( IN_CUSTNO EQ &CustomerList.(OR()).getcust. ) OR
(&CustomerList EQ '00000' AND IN_CUSTNO GT 0))

This is the erro I get

CURRENTLY DEFINED & VARIABLES STARTING WITH 'CustomerList':
&CustomerList = '51600' OR '51971'
0 ERROR AT OR NEAR LINE 58 IN PROCEDURE ADHOCRQ FOCEXEC *
(FOC261) EXPRESSION IS INCOMPLETE BECAUSE AN OPERATION IS MISSING
(FOC016) THE TRUNCATED FIELDNAME IS NOT UNIQUE: ON
(FOC009) INCOMPLETE REQUEST STATEMENT

Any help would be great
thanks
Brian

does it need a semi colon at the end of the line to run correctly?

No that is just part of the where clause. I did not include the whole where clause because that second line is what is causing the problem
thanks

Can you put a -SET &ECHO=ALL; at the beginning of your focexec and show the code that is produced when you run this. I am having a problem imagining what is happening here.

Perhaps for both scenarios that you have may also help.

Thanks

Alan.

quote:
-SET &ECHO=ALL

here is the expaned where clause
WHERE (( IN_DATE GE DT(05/01/2007) ) AND ( IN_DATE LE DT(05/04/2007) )) AND (( IN_CUSTNO EQ '51600' OR '51971' ) OR (IN_CUSTNO GT 0 AND (('51600' OR '51971') EQ '00000')) ) AND ( IN_ITEMCODE EQ '10015' );

The 51600 and 51971 are the listbox values
