We are upgrading to 8206 from 8008. 8008 has Oracle 11G client. 8207 has the Oracle 12C client. The problem is I have remote data base that is still Oracle 9. The Oracle 12c client will not read that database. Can I have both the 11g client and the 12c client installed on the 8206 reporting server so that both show and I can set up the connection for this old data base? What manual will describe this process?

John

This manual is the adapter administraton manual including oracle. https://webfocusinfocenter.inf...adapteradmin7710.pdf 7.7.10 and 8.2.06 are identical releases. So I believe it will be possible to set the oracle environmental variables for each release in a separate database profile (the doc says so) but I have no experience with a database profile and where it resides.

Thank you for using Focal Point!

It does not appear this is possible. Looks like I'm going to have to keep the 8008 environment around until we can move/migrate the old HR system into PeopleSoft. A project is underway an maybe online by Jan 2021.
