Only in as much as using MSAD to provide authentication / authorisation for MRE/BID using the MR Realm driver.

Other than that I have managed to get a VBS file to run against MSAD from a fex to provide a variable (User Name) via a file. However, I have only achieved this on a local install, when I try it where the RS and CS are on different machines the VBS loops and has to be killed via task manager.

As you say, this post was asked in 2006, there is now (I think?) an adapter to allow access to MSAD.

If you want scripts (VBS etc.) to read MSAD then use Google to search on it, there are many examples out there, you just have to look.

There is an LDAP adapter that is available to query any LDAP source. I believe it has existed for some time, but it definitely exists now.

If I'm remembering correctly, there is no cost for the LDAP adapter besides the cost of an additional adapter but your sales rep should be able to tell you for sure.

With this adapter you can query everything from Active Directory just like any other LDAP source.

Thanks,
Doug Logan
