SAP BEx queries deliver more than just the query results. There are other fields such as who created the query, when was the query last changed, the InfoProvider and most interesting, when was the data last refreshed/updated. The "last refresh" date can be important when a user wants to know if the data is from yesterday, last week or early this month, depending on when updates are applied. I do not see how to generate a synonym based on the SAP BEx query so this type of metadata is included in the master file. Thanks.

Hi Bruce,

From our internals: Currently there is no provisions in the WebFOCUS SAP BW metadata to provide extended query information.
We only map out the data properties for the query so we can retrieve data. The question/request does make sense but more for the administration side of BW or even the WebFOCUS server but not for a average user. You probably won’t have the authority to make changes or possibly even view the query using BW tools.

Cheers,

Kerry
