Hi all,

I wrote a two simple samples of DB2 stored procedures. One of them have only input parameters and return result set, the other have input and output parameters.

I can call the first stored procedure in WebFOCUS in this way:

-SET &ECHO=ALL;
ENGINE SQLODBC SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION cnndkvdb2
-RUN
SQL SQLODBC EX ESCHEMANAME.PROC_TST02(3);
TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT *
END


This gives me the resultset as espected.

I try to call the second stored procedures in this way:

-SET &ECHO=ALL;
ENGINE SQLODBC SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION cnndkvdb2
-RUN
SQL SQLODBC EX DTAMRKCOM.DATMART_001('2010-09-01 00:00:00.000000',100,400,'AAAAA', RETURNPARAM);
TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT *
END


This always throws the same error:
"(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -104 (HEX: FFFFFF98) XOPEN: 42000
: [37000] [IBM][Controlador ODBC de System i Access][DB2 para i5/OS]SQL010
: 4 - Símbolo ( no válido. Símbolos válidos: + - ? : DAY INF NAN RID RRN C
: AST CHAR DATE DAYS HASH HOUR LEFT.
(FOC1405) SQL PREPARE ERROR."

Is there a way to retrieve the value of the output parameter?

Have you thought about checking out other forums related to ODBC calls to DB2 sp's ?

I guess what I'm saying is, does it work from an ODBC test tool. If not, then the problem may not be WebFOCUS.

Hi,

As said by Waz, did you try executing this SP with the DB2 query tool, as such iSeries... ?


But the output parameter value wont be available in the Return param, I guess... I have tried this before, but had no luck.

May be u can raise this with tech support....
