I'm looking to do the following with WF 7.1 web services API.
1) Retrieve a report list from MRE that a user has access to.
2) Retrieve the parameters for that MRE report.
3) Run and view an MRE report immediately.
4) Run a defered report, determine status and view.
I'm assuming I would use the MREAPI interface for these but I have a question about the parameters. What are the possible values for "action" and "sub-action". Where are these documented?
Thanks in advance
Dave Ronne

David,

I'm not sure what the complete list is for action and sub-action. I would assume that NY could supply that. That being said, there are specific functions functions that exist for each of the options you identified. It might be easier to stick to these already defined functions.

Regards

Hi Dave,

Has this issue been resolved? Many thanks to dhagen's input on this one. Smiler

For general information on WebFOCUS APIs and web services, the following manuals may be of interest:

WebFOCUS API Developer's Reference 7.1

WebFOCUS Web Services 7.1

You will need to have an InfoResponse username/password to access this manuals.

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry

Sorry i have not been checking this very frequently. Thank you Kerry and dhagen. I have pretty much relied on the pre-defined api as much as possible and I have the docs Kerry that you made reference to. So far I have not needed the MREAPI interface. Thanks again Dave R
