I can generate XML output using
ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT XML

But I don't get any data for any SUBFOOTS

Is there a way to get data from a SUBFOOT in my XML output?

Thanks,

Lenny

Lenny

Not to my knowledge without going to the lengths of writing the output yourself - now someone will come along and prove me wrong Smiler

Believe you are on the button there Tony. I think that XML is for column data only.

Thats to bad. I was hoping that it would output subtotals and subfoots also.

Been available since 5.3

But I'm curious. Why reply to a post that's nearly 2 years old?

Confused I knew someone would prove me wrong, but I did expect it earlier! Wink

Nice to know though, and you can put money on me forgetting it by the time I need it!!

I've been working on hijacking the WFServlet response and auto converting the default XML output into a more stream lined JSON output to facilitate faster - and more manageable - AJAX processing. While doing that, I realized that I can convert the default XML into anything, including more industry standard XML ... not that the default XML is not standard, I was thinking of a more self describing format. Before I put any time into something that I don't actually have a requirement for, I do a search of this forum to see if it is something that others can use or have asked for. While going through the past cases I noticed this one, so I just posted to it.
