Is there a way in InfoAssist+, 8202 to widen the bars / narrow the gap between the bars in a vertical bar chart?

Don't know how to apply this in IA+, but according to Creating HTML5 Charts With WebFOCUS Language document page 150, it's how to do it
Example: Using a Size-By Measure in a Bar Chart
The following request generates a bar chart. The bar heights represent the COGS_US and GROSS_PROFIT_US measures, and the bar widths represent the MSRP_US measure.
GRAPH FILE WF_RETAIL_LITE
SUM COGS_US
GROSS_PROFIT_US MSRP_US
BY PRODUCT_CATEGORY
ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT JSCHART
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH BAR
ON GRAPH SET STYLE *
INCLUDE=IBFS:/FILE/IBI_HTML_DIR/javaassist/intl/EN/combine_templates/ENWarm.sty,$
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=PRODUCT_CATEGORY, BUCKET=x-axis, $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=COGS_US, BUCKET=y-axis, $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=GROSS_PROFIT_US, BUCKET=y-axis, $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=MSRP_US, BUCKET=size, $
ENDSTYLE
END

WF versions : Prod 8.2.0.1M gen 240, Dev 8.2.04 gen 48, OS : Windows, DB : MSSQL, Outputs : HTML, Excel, PDF

Thanks Martin, Good thought. But I need a constant bar width and a narrower gaps. I don't have WF_RETAIL_LITE, so I used CAR. This only gives varying bar widths.
GRAPH FILE CAR
SUM DCOST RCOST
COMPUTE PROFIT/D12C=RCOST-DCOST;
BY COUNTRY
"GAP: <PROFIT"
ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT JSCHART
ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH BAR
ON GRAPH SET STYLE *
INCLUDE=IBFS:/FILE/IBI_HTML_DIR/javaassist/intl/EN/combine_templates/ENWarm.sty,$
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=COUNTRY, BUCKET=x-axis, $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=DCOST, BUCKET=y-axis, $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=RCOST, BUCKET=y-axis, $
TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=PROFIT, BUCKET=size, $
ENDSTYLE
END

Hi Doug,
1. Thought you wanted IA questions in the IA Forum?
2. Can this be set in IA? See your response...

setRiserWidth

I don't think that worked out. Adding InfoAssist in the subject line seems to be the way to go.

To echo MartinY, I don't think that there is a way to do it in IA+.

In code, I found that you can add in this to control the gap between groups:

*GRAPH_JS_FINAL
"blaProperties": {"barGroupGapWidth": 0.05}

Docs here: Controlling the Gap Between Groups of Risers in Bar, Line, or Area Charts

Neither "setRiserWidth" or "RiserWidth" are in AppStudio F1 Help (8202).

I don't think that setRiserWidth() works with HTML5 charts. I tried that first to no avail. The Docs show old legacy charts

I think there may be a message going out to as that the subject line in all posts associated with InfoAssist contain the word, preferably the first word, "InfoAssist", not "Info Assist". That will help narrow our search done by including "InfoAssist" in our search criteria.

Note to Anyone who reads this: Please add "InfoAssist" as the first word in the subject line for all InfoAssist related posts.

Thank You, Doug
