Hi,

Previously (when on version 7) I was able to open the ReportCaster Explorer in one click via a link in my favorites:

http://[server]/ibi_apps/caster/

Now we have version 8 and when I open the same link, the ReportCaster Console is opened rather than the Explorer. To get to the same point in version 8, I need to go through five clicks or so... :-|

Is there any way to accomplish the same result in v8?

I checked in WebFOCUS 8202 and see the link to ReportCaster Explorer to be:
[url=http://localhost:8080/ibi_apps/rcex.rc]
I have an 8105M environment in which I'll check if the same link works.

Thank you very-much Efrem, exactly what I've been looking for.

The only thing now is that I'm still struggling because I don't see my schedules until I select
Adminstration > select 'Mode Manager' in ibi_apps screen and then I have to refresh the screen in rcex.rc to see my schedules...

Perhaps there is a parameter you know of to set it default on 'Mode Manager'?

I don't really see a way to set the Mode=Manager on the rcex.rc URL.

I have been able to set the Mode Manager through the URL:

But, then you're prompted to either Open or Save the XML response from that command.

Not sure how to suppress that.

Hi - Let me know if this is helpful.

If you have SSO, in 77x, he can get to the Caster application (this would be the 7x equivalent of Caster Explorer) using –
http://irt7703:8080/ibi_apps/caster/

We tried this in 81x and 82x and if user has already logged on (or has SSO), they can get to the Caster Explorer, using –
http://irt8105:8080/ibi_apps/rcex.rc
If you do not have SSO, you will be redirected to the logon page, and after logon they go directly to Explorer.

You can also open a case to review this further.

This can be implemented as a new feature.
You might want to open a New Feature request to add Mode=Manager as a parameter for to the ReportCaster Explorer URL.
