Is there a way we can create a Master file of a FOCUS file. We lost the Master file to the FOCUS file?

This could be difficult, but I think the columns are stored in the FOCUS file.

May be you need to contact Tech Support

I checked with the FOCWIZARD and there is no easy way to regenerate a focus master file. Are you sure there isn't a backup of it somewhere?

Ugh.

I recommend doing a search for every focexec you have that uses the file, and start assembling a field list. You may be able to rebuild a master file from that. Good luck.

SO (I know the answer but I have to ask) you did verify that you do not have a backup of he WF system that would contain the FOCUS file object definition? Makes me glad I am such a hard @$$ on server admin about backups! LOL. Hope you get it rebuilt. Been there, got the battle scars to prove it.

I suggest you issue
? FILE focusfilename
You will get the length of each segment.
Then create a master with one field having the length
Issue a TABLE FILE, print the field, save it, use a hex editor and try to make some sense.
