Can you create a pie ring chart as a semi-circle instead of a complete circle?

I believe so. But, that'll be a GAUGE with the start and end points in degrees...

I tried the GAUGE chart and wasn't satisfied with the look and feel ... I like the Pie ring chart but would like it to be just a half circle instead of a full circle. Someone has done this with Power BI ... but would like to do it with WebFocus.

I reached out to product managment and he said the pie ring is what it is and can't be a half circle. He reiterated the gauge as a solution and also provided this.

If the user wants to create their own d3 chart extension, then the sky is the limit. For example maybe

If you are using JSCHART, then you could try adding dummy data, and then set the colour to transparent.

But I don't think you could control the location.

Waz...
