Hi Everyone,

I have created a pie chart on infoassist, which shows "Sales" by "Category", on the other hand I would like to create a detailed report, which gets generated when an user clicks on a pie slice(Category). I am able to pass either Sales or Catgeory as parameters to this detailed report. Is there a way to pass more parameters to this detailed report from the pie chart? I need to create this report using only infoassist. I would appreciate if someone can provide an insight on this.

Regards
Bi Dev

You can pass either the columns present in the chart, constants or variables. If there’s a column you need that’s not a part of the chart, you could try to add it to the chart and make it not visible. That will make that column also available for passing to a drill down. However, keep in mind that a user clicking a slice wouldn’t know what value you’re passing.

Hi Babak,

This pie chart will have 4 filters from date, to date, country and return status. Let's say an user enters these values and runs this pie chart, once the chart displays and they click on a pie slice these parameters(filter prompts) they have entered should also be passed on to the detailed(drill down) report.
for pie chart I can add only one dimension(on color tab) Is there a way we can achieve this using info assist or text editor for Pie chart?

You can do this using InfoAssist. When you create the Summary chart, when choosing the Drill Down parameters, pass the value of the slice using Fieldname, and for the Variables you've already collected in your prompt pass &VARIABLENAME as constant. Remember if you want your date field to be passed from your &DATEFIELD, make sure to include the & in your constant. See below for a Summary chart and Detailed drill.
