Hi all,
Does anyone know where in App Studio 8009, I need to be to create a user defined function? I searched InfoResponse site as well as FocalPoint, but haven't found the answer.

Thank you,

Seyed

In 8105 you have to right click/New on an APP folder and you'll see DEFINE FUNCTION 9 items down.

Hi BabakNYC,
Thank you for your input. Unfortunately, in 8009, that option is not available.

I don't have 8009 anymore but according to the manual these are the steps for launching the Define Function Wizard.

To create a user defined function:

1. Create a new procedure.

2. The Add Procedure dialog box opens.
3. Name the procedure and click Define Function from the Create With drop-down menu.

Hi BabakNYC,
I got it. I got the Define Function Wizard to display. I guess to create a function, you have to go through creating a procedure and that is how it is in AS8009.

Thank you very much and continued success,

Seyed
