Hi all,

Is anybody here planning to go to this years Summit?

And does anyone have an idea of the agenda of the summit, will it be technical or more commercial?

Thanks,

Frans

Summits are great learning tools. They have classes for Users and Developers. I have been to 5 of them and they are always worth it.

summit is a 'sales-free' zone, its all about education and networking, there's a bit of future-hype, of course, but its exhilerating.
There's an Expert Room, manned the whole time by ibi-ers just there to answer your questions, with computers with all the products loaded on them. There's a SandBox where you can sit at a desktop, and just play with the products yourself. There are 5 days of work, Sunday thru Thursday. So many concurrent sessions, its hard to decide what to attend. And all the FocalPointers get to put face-to-handle, and especially this year at Pointer "Mickey Grackin"'s session on PDF. Summit is definitely a required course. I've gone to over a dozen. People come from all over the planet.

Frans,

I "did" Summit last year for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it, and I plan to go again next year (if everything goes well).

Trust me, you won't regret going, for all the right reasons!

I think it really is a "can't miss" for any serious FOCUS/WebFOCUS user (although I've know a few who are not quite so serious.) Smiler I've also found it very helpful to get your name and face known to the IBI corporate crowd. Seems to make a difference when trying to resolve issues or otherwise get corporate resources. And, may I add, that networking with fellow FocalPointers has been a highlite.

Regards,

Darin
