I'd like to get rid of that "gold" border at the top of the active tab, I changed the colour in the code (I know I'm not supposed to do that), but within the same editing session of the HTML page, it changes back to gold! Is this based on some template or stylesheet that we have no control over?

Thanks

I had a look at the javascript that is used, and it looks like (Not Sure, looked as 7.7.01) it takes the colour from the default active tab.

There is also a hardcoded default that is set to Gold, in ibirls3.js

Very confusing!

There are properties in the Property Sheet of the tab control for this starting in release 7703. Prior to that release you cannot change the color.

v7.7.02 - Funny how you can modify the colour of the tab body border, but not the tab border itself.

Francis,

It's an iterative development process. Ver. 7.7.02 you get to modify the tab body border and in ver. 7.7.03 you get to modify the tab border. You gotta go with the flow, Dude! Wink

I'm on an ice flow and can't get off!

I am now in v7.7.03 and see nothing about styling the "edges" of the tab control. I select the tab and then click on Styling: Advanced (CSS) to open the Style Composer - I see Font, Background, Text, Position, Layout, Lists, Other. Usually you also see Edges. So how do I style the edges of the tab control?

Francis,

I can see this option in my environment:

In the properties window, I have a composite component that looks like this:

tab1 <SPAN>
 |_ tabitem1 <SPAN>
 |_ tabitembody1 <SPAN>

When selecting the main "tab1" component, you are given the option to change a few settings of the tab. 'Selected color' is defaulted to "gold" and can be changed via that property.

Caveat: Dev Studio 7.7.03 Hotfix 1.

Hope that helps.

Neftali,

Thanks for checking into this for me. Yes, I have this option in v7.7.03 (no hotfix). I somehow didn't see all these new options.

Would have been nice if these properties were available in v7.7.02 though, where you can change the colour of the tab body border but not the tab itself.

Solved for v7.7.03!

Would you please edit your original post and prefix its title with [SOLVED]? Music

Done. It would be nice if the forum software allowed for longer post titles - very often you have to modify the title to add [CLOSED].

Thanks,

Francis

It would be nicer to have a status against the post, instead of changing the title.
