I have several reports setup to output to EXL2K. This works as expected on PC computers but my MAC users are having problems. When it finally does open the file, it is in like HTML code and not formatted in columns like you would expect.

The only way I could get it to work for my MAC users was to do a ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL97. When I do this, MAC users can open the file and get prompted to open/save and the other messages and the file opens and is formatted in columns as expected. The EXL97 also works fine on PC.

I was wondering if there is another version (like Excel 2013) format that I would be able to PCHOLD my file and it would open both on MAC and PC. Or is the EXL97 my only option?

Thanks,
Malinda

EXL07 exists in 7.7.03, but I am not sure about your version. If it does exist in 7.6.11, it is probably limited in functionality.

EXL07 does not exist for WF7.6.x. It works on 7.7.04 quite successfully - a major boost for us since we use Lotus Notes Symphony spreadsheets rather than Excel and Symphony will open EXL07 successfully (Doesn't work with EXL2K).

Thanks guys. Sounds like the solution is to just FORMAT EXL07 instead of EXL2K (at least on those reports that will be run on a MAC.
