WF Release 5.2.1
I'm creating a PDF report and I'm unable to automatically print the report on legal size paper. I can however click on Print, Properties, Advanced, then select the Legal Paper, however, we need to do this in batch.

My code has;
SET PSPAGESETUP = ON

and the stylesheet says;

UNITS=INCHES,$
LEFTMARGIN=0.25, RIGHTMARGIN=0.25, TOPMARGIN=0.25, BOTTOMMARGIN=0.25, $
SQUEEZE=OFF,$
ORIENTATION=LANDSCAPE,$
PAGESIZE=LEGAL,$
TYPE=REPORT, FONT=Courier New, SIZE=8, STYLE=NORMAL, COLOR=BLACK, BACKCOLOR=NONE, $
TYPE=HEADING, STYLE=BOLD,$

anyone have any ideas? I have an open case with IBI.

Thanks!
Carol

Carol,
I'm curious, do you have other batch processes that print PDF's (normal size paper)?

Thanks

Tred, good question!
We have some old Focus Six for Windows reports to be converted to WF that print in an overnight batch cycle on legal size paper and all reports are sitting on the printer in the morning for the users where time is critical.

My understanding is ReportCaster can send output directly to the printer, but if the stylesheet is not recognizing the paper size, my guess is, it won't work. When the report opens in Adobe the size is: 8 1/2 X 11

Thanks!

The reason I ask is, the only way I know of to print a PDF is to actually invoke the Adobe Reader, and tell it to Print the document. In other words you can't use a batch command line to send (copy) the file directly to the printer. However, if it is save as a postscript file .PS then if its sent directly to a printer through a command line invocation, the printer will recognize the file as a printable file and walla! - the same stylesheet can be used for PS. Only thing is, is that the Legal size paper tray must already be selected on the printer - at least I don't know of a way to dynamically have the batch process switch it up midstream (although I'm sure everything is possible with the right effort). All of this is assuming windows, and dos type batch commands - not report caster, of which I know nothing.
