Hello,

We already have existing DB2 Adapter in the system and we are going to add another New DB2 adapter configured pointing to NEW DB2 server. Do I have create all the master files again and pointing to the New DB2 server or is there way to change the existing master files poiting to the new DB2 Server. I appreciate any help me on this issue.

Thank you

Hi V_Ani

If all you are doing is replacing the existing DB2 Adapter with a new one you can simply update the Adapter Connection to point to the new DB2 and leaved the connection name the same. The WebFOCUS DB2 access files (.acx) have an attribute CONNECTION that tells it which adapter connection to use. Nothing would have to be changed in the acx files and the data will be retrieved from the new db2

Hope that helps

To go along with chucks reply if you have 2 DA2 instance and need then both and the tables are identical then you can create a variable in the metadata (see manual) so you can change the CONNECTION in the acx file using the variable to point to connection 1 or connection 2.
