I'm create a report in Excel and trying to change my column width and whatever i'm trying it's not woroking.

My column title for example is

"Hello World Today"

When creating a report I'm using camma's between the words but my column width is still huge. Here is an example how it looks like:

"Hello "
"World "
"Today "
10

Is there a way to change that?

I'm still using WebFocus 436

Use SQUEEZE

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT BODYTYPE MODEL
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT,COLUMN=BODYTYPE,SQUEEZE=0.25,$
ENDSTYLE
END

Try WRAP instead of SQUEEZE.

I get no errors at all just doesn't work. When added WRAP it gives same result as SQUEEZE. Just title but no data and my Title doesn't display properly.

Is this the problem you are having?
DEFINE FILE CAR
TEST/A200 = '1                                                                                                      ';
END
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
     DEALER_COST
     RETAIL_COST
     TEST
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXCEL
END

If so I think its an issue with sending data to Excel 95. I don't remember if you have different option in 436 if you do give EXL2K a try.

I'm currently using EXL2K and i'm saving this report into a file on the specified directory.

My problem is that the title is displaying properly since i'm using cammas but the width of the title still the same as title would be without cammas.

My data is small the tittle is what i'm having problem with. My column width is set on the size of the column title since it's the largest. I hope that make sence

I have found when using Comma's it does make the column width huge...and I tried everything I could think of to fix it...and I came up with squeezing each column...and it still would not change the width as much as I wanted.

TYPE=REPORT,COLUMN=MARG_2 ,SQUEEZE=7.5,$
TYPE=REPORT,COLUMN=MARG_PD_M ,SQUEEZE=7.5,$
TYPE=REPORT,COLUMN=MARG_WP ,SQUEEZE=7.5,$

The weird part is I don't think SQUEEZE is supported for Excel in WebFOCUS 436. What it does ignores cammas in my title and not printing any data off at all.
