Hello,
Does anyone have a script (javascript) which allows the user to clean their cache? I have a Maintain application running on a SAS, if the user gets disconnected or logs out by accident, we will be instructing them to clean their cache before logging back in, otherwise they will receive an EDASERVE error message. It would be ideal to provide them with a button on their Welcome Page to clean the cache.

Any suggestions regarding a work around for this cache issue in Maintain/focus would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
Jacquie

The easy way around this problem is to attach a timestamp to the end of the URL that calls the Maintain procedure.

function ButtonLaunchInNewWindow()
{
// Button launches Maintain in new window
// Just change PATH and PROCEDURE name
var today = new Date();
url = "/cgi-bin/ibi_cgi/ibiweb.exe?IBIS_connect=on&IBIF_cmd=MNTCON CLOSEMSH;MNTCON APPPATH TEST;MNTCON EX TEST;" +
"&IBIS_passthru=on&IBIAPP_app=TEST&newdate=" + today.getTime();
window.open(url);
}

I hope this helps.
