Must be this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_rupee

Just came out in July, very doubtful that it is supported. Best get a new feature request in for it.

what formats will this be needed in ? HTML, PDF, Excel, etc ?

If dbeagan is right, have alook at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_rupee_sign

It gives the unicode numbers for it.

All then depends on the font to use.

PDF will be more difficult.
