Hi
I have a requirement where the reports UI has to be developed in WF 769 and as part of the UI there are a few drop downs which are dynamic (populated via queries). The issue Im facing is, out of 2 drop downs one gets loaded properly while the other is blank when the screen loads. I have used the same logic to populate both but somehow one fails. The first code below gives the output while the second doesnt.
<input_controls>
<input_control bindcontrolid="compUid_1" inbinding="1" top="546" left="140" width="60" height="20" elementtype="8" requiredfield="0" name="combobox1" id="combobox1" multiple="0" unresolved="0" onetimepopulated="0" textvarname="RPTFMT_TEXT">

<condition default="1" name="Default" whattodowithcontrol="0" valuescompareoperator="0" parameterscompareoperator="0" conditionmultiselectoperator="0" resolveparameterfq="RPTID" resolveparameter="RPTID">
<data_info datatype="1" datasource="reportformat.fex" addalloption="0" sourcetype="typeMaster" cacheruntimedata="0" accept="0" selectedvalue="" operation="NONE" modifiedrequest="1" ibiapp_app="reports" ibic_server="AVWC01" datafield="RPT_C" displayfield="RPT_VAL" dosorting="1" sorttype="1">

ENGINE SQLORA SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION &DBSERVER SQL SQLORA PREPARE SQLOUT FOR
SELECT RPT_C, RPT_VAL FROM RPT WHERE RPT_I = '&RPTID' ORDER BY RPT_VAL
END
TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT
RPT_C
RPT_VAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT XML
END
</data_info></condition>

<condition default="1" name="Default" whattodowithcontrol="0" valuescompareoperator="0" parameterscompareoperator="0" conditionmultiselectoperator="0" resolveparameterfq="DBSERVER" resolveparameter="DBSERVER">
<data_info datatype="1" datasource="function.fex" addalloption="0" sourcetype="typeMaster" cacheruntimedata="0" accept="0" selectedvalue="" operation="NONE" modifiedrequest="1" ibiapp_app="otmreports" ibic_server="AVWC01" datafield="SYS_I" displayfield="FNCT_N" dosorting="1" sorttype="1" >

ENGINE SQLORA SET DEFAULT_CONNECTION &DBSERVER
SQL SQLORA PREPARE SQLOUT FOR
SELECT SYS_I,FNCT_N FROM SYS_FN WHERE LEAF_F= '&LEAF_F' ORDER BY SYS_I
END
TABLE FILE SQLOUT
PRINT
SYS_I
FNCT_N
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT XML
END
</data_info></condition>

PS: The DBSERVER, LEAF_F and RPTID are all passed as hidden variables from the Java web application.
Any help on this would be great.

Thanks,
LG

Look into the attribute "resolveparameter".

You will not find any documentation on it but it's use is quite easy to guess.

Thanks Tony, it worked but my doubt is will this produce a consistent output. The reason why Im asking this is the same code is fetching me results sometimes and is empty sometimes. This is kind of confusing and Im not sure if this is a stable behavior. Please help.

Thanks,
LG
