[CLOSED] Reportcaster schedules do not auto trigger on saving or modified
Hi All,

In the WF8008 environment, there was some setting which allowed Reportcaster schedules to run automatically if we change something in the schedule and Save it.

The same applied to when we created a Schedule using Reportcaster API and as soon as the schedule was created it would run as well.

After i have set up the new WF8105 environment migrating all the configurations from WF8008, i don't see my schedules running automatically after i have re-saved or created a new one and have to run them on-demand.

Could you please advise which setting governs this?

Regards,
Kumar

I remember that with 8105 I had an issue where they need to be part of another group or shared. I can't remember exactly and I don't have anymore a 8105 version.

But right click on the schedule and you will have something regarding groups and/or sharing. You need to "share" your schedule.
It was a question of user's right access.

I don't remember if the Publish concept was there in 8105 (or it's that concept in 82xx that fixed the above issue…), check if they are Published.

Hope this help

The thing is our user want that functionality back, They use a web app to create new scheduled reports (which we have implemented used Reportcaster API).

After making the change they actually wait for the schedule to generate a report itself (which used to happen in 8008) but we are doing that ad-hoc for them now.

Not sure how security in your reply is playing a part in auto-triggering if RC schedules when changed/Modified.

Another issue that I am thinking of (if I do remember well), that won't solve your problem, is that RC may needs to be recycled in the situation where you have changed an existing schedule

Recycling RC let RC knows the "new" changes and reset the next schedule time
