I am trying to save files to a sharepoint site. I have had success doing this but it seems that if the path and file length is longer than 80 charters it fails. I don't get any error, it says that it saved successfully but the file is not there. Is there a setting somewhere in WF that can be changed to allow for a longer path and filename or is this just the limitation of WF. Thanks

Hi spdam0,

Has this issue been resolved on your side?

I ran some search among online documents and came to the understanding that this should be a problem regarding configurations. For this type of questions related to installation and configurations, please contact Information Builders’ Customer Support Services and open a case for assistance. You may either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access the online system InfoResponse at http://techsupport.ibi.com. Here is a list of information to be ready when you call: http://techsupport.ibi.com/before_you_call.jsp.

One of the possibilities you may want to double check is security. Not sure how your Sharepoint site is set up with WebFOCUS, but if the sharepoint server is outside the firewall, there should be some kind of set up for reverse proxy server that would communicate between the sharepoint server and WebFOCUS client machine.

Hope this helps. Big Grin

Cheers,

Kerry

Yes I have gotten past the problem of writing to sharepoint. The solution is that the service "Web Client" needs to be running on the WebFocus server. It is disabled by default on server builds.
