I am attempting to configure a MS Access data adapter connection. I understand that both the reporting server and odbc driver have to match 32bit to 32bit and 64bit to 64bit. How do I determine whether a 32bit odbc driver or 64bit is installed? And how do I determine whether the reporting server is running 32bit or 64bit? Thanks in advance.

Hi,
For the Reporting Server you need to check the release number e.g. with the WebFOCUS command:
? GEN

This will return something like:
EDA8003 Release RELEASE = M728003D

The letter at the end will tell you whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit.

B=32 bit
D=64 bit

So, in my example above it shows that I am running 64-bit.

To determine whether the ODBC driver is using 32 bit or 64 bit in Windows 7: Go to control panel --> administrative tools --> select data sources(ODBC)--> then right click on that file --> go to properties --> in the shortcut tab will be listed a reference to either 32 bit or 64 bit.
