I have a page that uses tab control with two tabs. The fex on the first tab is set to auto execute. The question is on the second fex on the second tab. If I set that to auto execute, I will need to wait for both fexes to complete before I see the page. If I set the second fex to NOT auto execute, I don't need to wait for both to complete; but then, when I click the second tab, that fex won't execute unless I create a submit button and have to have the user to click the button to run the fex.

Is there any way that the second fex will auto execute when I click the second tab? without having to introduce that submit button? I really don't want to wait for both to complete to see the page by setting that also to auto execute.

Thanks.

When you say, "Auto Execute" do you mean that the Tab has a "launch" frame?

Hi: I meant exactly that. 'auto execute' is a property you can set to a fex in an iFrame.

Not sure what your tabs have in them so I'll explain what I did to create the behavior you said you needed.

I created a new Group View. Added two pages. On each page there is one launch block. The content is a fex.

When I run the view, the first page (tab) launches the fex but not the 2nd. When I select the 2nd Tab, that fex runs. This is out of the box behavior.

Is this what your doing?

I was not talking about 'tab' on a dashboard view. I was talking about 'tab control' in HTML composer.
