hi friends ,

I am indebted to you all.. Now My situation ,

We have 43 excel reports .

Out of these 2 are AD-HOC and 41 are scheduled reports.

Out of the scheduled reports , 19 are big excel reports. Data may span across multiple Tabs in these reports.

We are writing SQLs in all the 43 reports using SQLOUT statements.

Now , my problem is in all the BYTOC reports , whenever the underlying query in the report is fetching zero records , I am getting the following error.

Unknown error occurred.
Agent on reporting server BIUC01 may have crashed.
Please investigate reporting server log.

ERROR:

I am not getting this error for reports which are not BYTOC. I am getting the normal message.

0 NUMBER OF RECORDS IN TABLE= 0 LINES= 0

Before taking this to the Webfocus Admin , Can anyone figure this out ??

Any help will be highly appreciated..

Thank you very much

As far as I know there is no work around so an upgrade is the only option.

However you may not need to do a full upgrade.

Dependant on if it is the WebFocus server or the caster that is actually responsible
(sounds like server as the agent is crashing) you may be able to get away with just
upgrading the WebFocus server to 7.1.6 and keep your client and caster at 7.1.4.
(quite a normal practice to fix specific bugs)

Try it in the dev environment first, It's very simple and will have minimum impact.
