when i create a report like below

c1 c2 c3
123 4543 56765
2342344XxXXXccc1

how can i fixing the column c2 width ?
i use warp=2 , it's not good,

because the uppercase XXX width is different with lowercase Xxx , so if i have 30 pages with one report , the report width is changed when i click next page ....

so how to fixing the column=n2 width ?

Thanks,
James Yang

Well, warp is not a recognised style sheet declaration so it won't achieve the results you expect. You can use WRAP=n to set a column's width to any value you need as shown below:
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR
      MODEL
BY COUNTRY
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
UNITS=IN, $
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=N1, WRAP=3, $
ENDSTYLE
END

I don't have a WF environment to test it but it should give you an idea.

Test: Dev. Studio 8008 /Windows 7 (Local) Output:HTML, EXL2K.

If what you want is for the report width to remain "fixed" you might need to get rid of the automatic wrapping that occurs naturally in HTML and set each column's width explicitly.

TABLE FILE ..
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, WRAP=OFF, $
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=N1, WRAP=3, $
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=N2, WRAP=2, $
...
ENDSTYLE
END

You can also research and play with the SQUEEZE=n style sheet declaration to try out different alternatives.

James, Which output format you are looking for? In case of HTML and PDF output format, use WRAP as suggested by Neftali.

Would using a proportional font in conjunction with your stylesheet syntax produce the results that you are looking for?

hi Toony ,

my report is like below,

id  name count |
1   xaa  10    |
2   aaa  10    |
3   bbb  20    |
               |
    next page  |
----------------

click next page

id  name   count |
4   XXX    10    |
5   AAA    10    |
6   BBB    20    |
                 |
    next page    |
------------------

the 2th page width is longer than 1th.

....

i used
TYPE=REPORT, WRAP=OFF, $
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=N1, WRAP=1, $
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=N2, WRAP=1, $
TYPE=REPORT, COLUMN=N3, WRAP=1, $

this way ,it's not work well.
i think the reson is uppercase lenght...

XXX.LENGHT = 3
xxx.LENGHT = 3 ...too

so the page width look different..

Thanks,
James Yang

Is your report in HTML only?

By the way, only one "o" Wink
