We're getting the following error when trying to delete reports from the deferred page. It seems like this error began when we started using the deferred page inside of BIPs in WF 8. Does anyone know how to resolve this error?

"WebFOCUS was called with an invalid request."

What exact release of WebFOCUS 8 are you using? Are you in a Clustered WebFOCUS environment? Does your id or password that you're logged in with contain a dash: - or does this happen for any userid?

It's not clustered and we are running 8105M. The error occurs regardless of dashes in the user id or password.

There's a case in tech support knowledge base that might be related to what you're seeing. It says:
"As a result of an upgrade from WebFOCUS 7 to WebFOCUS 8, the site.wfs Custom Settings contains the following:

MR_BASE_DIR = &MR_BASE_DIR (pass)

The WebFOCUS 8 WFServlet trace shows the following error: IBIWF_WFC_ConnectionError value is : (WFC 701) MR_BASE_DIR

The should not be included for WebFOCUS 8 because the repository is being used and the MR_BASE_DIR is not a physical folder as it is with WebFOCUS 7. "

No go. Tried to remove the MR_BASE_DIR and we're still getting the same error. I've been digging around in the http requests from the deferred page. Here is a request I captured to the server.

/ibi_apps8105M/WFServlet?IBIWF_defer=defer&IBIWF_defer_action=deleteItem&IBFS_path=IBFS:/WFC/UserInfo/myUserId/deferred_tickets/2017-04-18-14-54-03cmrpip000063_EDASERVE&IBIMR_random=0.2630734270263191&&IBIMR_delay=&IBIMR_def_sortoption=Date&IBIMR_def_sortorder=az&&inAdminMode=false&

Is there anything in the request you think might be causing the issue?

I usually clear cache before I test if the change worked. If you already did and it's not working, I'm not sure what else could be causing this issue. Sounds like you'll have to have IB tech support trace the problem. I don't really see anything wrong with the code you show.
