Is there a way to have 12 months show up on the X axis even if there is not data to plot for every month?

I am using the Advanced Graph Assistant. I have a line graph showing counts of an item on the Y axis by month across the X axis.

A parameter is entered to determine the time span. If I have a time span of less than one year, only months with data show up. So, it shows 01, 04 and 09. I would like to have all 12 show up all the time.

In the chart editor I have tried setting the "Automatic Skipping" to 'No Skipping' and 'Manual' but it does not force all 12 months.

Thanks.

Hello

In the chart editor tab, under advanced then Data handling. Try setting the "Fill Missing Data" Property to "Display at Zero".

you may have to set missing on in your dataset for it to work ...

Hope this helps

Thanks Cynthia but still not seeing all 12 months. I tried 'Display at Zero' and it didn't change the graph. I also added MISSING=ON to my procedure and no luck.

LDW,

Check out this link:

ROWS OVER

You can create all of your slots ahead of time using this and/or Dialogue Manager or do it in the graph itself.

Check out the SEARCH button above and enter ROWS or GRAPH. There should be a lot of topics that address this issue.
