[SOLVED] Excel Template with macros does it work in Excel 2007
Hello everyone
I have tried to follow Mario's sample and create an mht with macros to use as a template to be able to update in WebFOCUS from Excel.
It seems like this doesn't work anymore.

When i open the .XLS (i developed it in) it works fine except i don't get any data.
When i save as mht i get a warning with a Help
button;
Pressig that and reading, I find the following:
These Web Page file formats (.htm, .html), Single File Web Page file formats (.mht, .mhtml) can be used for exporting Excel data. In Office Excel 2007, worksheet features (such as formulas, charts, PivotTables, and Visual Basic for Application (VBA) projects) are no longer supported in these file formats, and they will be lost when you open a file in this file format again in Excel.

So, i must convert this to VB.NET i guess or abandon this project completely.
Am i right or am i doing it wrong?
Best regards,
Mats

It works perfectly in Excel 2007 and 2010

However YOU MUST create the template in Excel 2003.
And the output format MUST be EXL2K not EXL07

Mats,

In Office 2007 onwards, Microsoft are no longer supporting macros etc. in MHT files as you have found.

However, I recently wrote an article that will allow you to overcome this in the interim until IB provide that ability using MS 2007+.

You can find the article and example code etc. here.

Good luck.
