so we are hopefully soon upgrading our wf8008. For now, we have unsophisticated security in place. I am looking for a way to add a tab or a few buttons to an existing tab..but hide them from everyone except for me and a cube mate. These are for adhoc stuff we do...but do not want to clutter things up for other users. Any thoughts? This message has been edited. Last edited by: FP Mod Chuck,

Hide a tab from a portal ?
If so, create a new security group where only you and co-worker will be members and change security rules for this tab to denied access to all groups except the new one.
WF versions : Prod 8.2.04M gen 33, Dev 8.2.04M gen 33, OS : Windows, DB : MSSQL, Outputs : HTML, Excel, PDF In Focus since 2007

if you want to hide/display buttons in a tab, then you have to use html controls.
hide/unhide based on the user: i do similar in my project by greyout the buttons and controls in html based on the username and then use the html in the portal.
what MartinY said is a quick solution for you, if you are not comfy with the html route.
